One thing you definitely want to know about a mutual fund is how the sausage is made. Do the portfolio holdings accurately reflect the fund?s investment objective? You don?t want a stock-fund manager to hold mostly cash, except perhaps for tactical reasons, or a corporate bond fund to be heavily indebted to Treasurys.
